Internships Workshop

Using a VLE to Support a School-based Masters Programme


Saint Mary Redcliffe and Temple school have recently developed a CPD strategy that uses teacher learning communities as action research hubs.  In these communities all teachers have an opportunity to access Masters level accreditation for their work through our partnership with a local HEI.  To support ongoing teacher learning, reflection and the sharing of best practice throughout the year we are developing a teacher training VLE.  Facilitator: Stephen Clayson

Reflective Practice at Dene Magna Workshop

 


This workshop demonstrated how Dene Magna has used coaching to strengthen reflective and collaborative practice. The training of both staff and students as coaches has had a significant impact on culture, relationships and standards of achievement. Coaching expertise has been enhanced through distributed leadership and high-quality training is delivered to external partners.

Integrated Supervision


Supervision is a vital component supporting effective CPD in practice /the workplace.
This session explored integrated supervision cross the whole of the children’s workforce; a process developed with Health Social Care and the Police. In this workshop we review how common induction can effectively support and create learning opportunities for multi-agency professional development and become the foundation for effective CPD.  Facilitators: Ana Simons and Julie Ford, Devon Children’s Trust

School-based Master-level Programmes


This workshop explored close partnership working with HEIs to develop bespoke Masters Level programmes e.g. accreditation for mentoring etc.

Preparation for Middle Leadership and Senior Leadership


This session shared some of the materials used during a Six Module Course run across North Somerset for aspiring and newly appointed Middle Leaders. It will also cover the two day programme run for Aspiring Senior Leaders which follows the format of a mock interview with delegates being required to submit letters of application for an imaginary Assistant Head post.

Lytchett
Minster School offers a programme of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) through structured training sessions.  Our choice of courses is intended to provide a range of training opportunities to support all staff, departments and students.
